A fun, fast, thrilling sport for all...
Beach
Rugby is a fun and friendly tag rugby game played on the
beach. Pioneered at Lusty Glaze beach in Cornwall, the
game is now played in a nationwide series of events supported
by the Rugby Football Union (RFU).
During the summer, at coastal locations
up and down the country, sand pitches are marked out for
beach rugby events. These mini-sports festivals have become
hugely popular with participants and spectators alike.
Beach
Rugby is a safe, non-contact form of the sport based on
the principles of tag rugby. Players of all ages and abilities
are invited to compete in these fun events designed to
promote community interest and involvement in rugby.
The national series - organised by Beach
Rugby Ltd in association with the Rugby Football Union
(RFU) - ends with a beach rugby festival at Lusty Glaze
beach - the home of The
Adventure Centre in Cornwall
